I was looking for some examples of beautiful web portfolios, and came across benek’s, which is not only beautifully put together but also is a great example of horizontal design on the web. It’s a non-intuitive interface, so there’s a subtle but obvious instruction to the user. It also helps that the content doesn’t break in the normal fashion – part of it overlaps in the browser no matter your resolution, so you know there’s more to see over there.
