These are really fascinating, and some require a second or third look before you really “get” what’s going on. The FedEx truck is possibly my favourite.

Here’s a neat twist on the lettering process - first the requisite sketch, then creating vectors in Illustrator - and then bringing the artwork into 3ds MAX for a text effect which is then brought back into Illustrator and Live Traced. I’d never have thought to do that, but it looks pretty fantastic.
Oh, you guys. Marian Bantjes is in today’s Layer Tennis. Colour me ridiculously excited! She’s amazing. I don’t know much about the second contestant, Armin Vit, but I’m thinking this is going to be fascinating.
